The Position

Nick Carchidi Excavating Limited is a growing construction company located in Lindsay, ON. We have an immediate opening for a full time Heavy Equipment Mechanic. In this role, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of a variety of commercial vehicles, heavy and small equipment. The ideal candidate should be self-motivated, be exceptionally organized, great attention to detail and a willingness to learn.

Job Details & Benefits:

· Monday to Friday, with potential for overtime

· Wage: $35 - $45 per hour

· Full Benefits including Dental, Medical, Vision

· Matching RRSP Plan

Job Duties include:

· Maintain and repair fleet of commercial vehicles (trucks & vans), small equipment (generators, pumps, etc) and construction equipment (excavators, dozers, dump trucks, etc)

· Troubleshoot, repair and replace defective parts using hand and power tools, welding equipment, diagnostic tools

· Repairs include mechanical, hydraulic, brake, electrical and fuel systems as they apply to truck, heavy equipment and small equipment

· Ensure that all vehicles and equipment are kept in optimal operating condition

· Various other duties as assigned

Qualifications/Experience:

· Valid Class G License required

· DZ License an asset
