Objective

Produce the best-looking gear for our customers, as ordered and according to company standards, while contributing to the creation of a motivated, positive and well-organized working environment.

Term & Remunerations

● Part-time contract position based in-office at VC Ultimate’s main office in Toronto, from mid-April – August for 24-32 hrs/week, based on volume. Flexible hours between 8am and 6pm, Monday to Friday.

● Compensation $20/hour based on experience. Hourly rate review requests based on experience considered after 30-day trial period.

Reports to: This position reports to VC’s Quality Assurance Coordinator.

Responsibilities

Production Responsibilities

● Operation of a small heat press to apply customization (names, numbers, logos, labels) to uniforms.

● Master all press-related processes and gain full comprehension of guides to be able to assist in the training of future press operators.

● Ensure all order aspects are properly organized, correct and complete.

● Ensure completed products adhere to job specifications and meet quality of work standards.

● Accurately report any quality issues to supervisor(s).

General Responsibilities

● Maintain a safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, storage areas and workstations tidy, including updating bin storage in the most efficient way possible to accommodate fluid stock levels.

● Ensure the work area meets company standards checklist at the end of every shift.

● General production tasks as required, such as bagging and tagging apparel.

● Conduct accurate counts of units coming in and out of the office for production and inventory.

● Pull stock units from inventory for orders, checking against provided work order forms.

● Ensure all issues/problems are reported to production as per standards.

● Assist in order packing & fulfillment.

Technical Considerations

● Must be fluent in English (written and oral).

● On-site training provided for the entire scope of work.

● Design background or experience in clothing customization or manufacturing preferred.

Candidate Qualifications

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and focused, and eager to contribute as a proactive team member.

● Self-starting and motivated.

● Team player who can prioritize and manage multiple projects with tight deadlines.

● Good eyesight and great special sense.

● Good at performing physical tasks with hands, and be able to go up and down stairs, carry boxes of 20-50lbs, operate a heat press (small machine requiring the lifting and pressing of a lever), and spend most of their workday standing.

Please note that due to the nature of the role, personal phones are not allowed at workstations. Speakers are available to play music, and team members are welcome to have their ringers on to be reachable in case of emergencies.
