Due to ongoing growth we are currently looking for General Operators – Coiling to join our Kitchener, Ontario team.

ROTATING SHIFTS, MONDAY TO FRIDAY

$21.00 to start, $22.00 after 3 months

Summary of Position:

The Wire Coiling Operator is responsible for operating and monitoring coiling equipment to wind finished wire or cable products into coils according to production specifications. This role ensures product quality, maintains production efficiency, and supports safety and housekeeping standards in the manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

· Operate wire coiling machines and related equipment to coil finished wire and cable to specified lengths, diameters, and packaging requirements.

· Perform machine setup, adjustments, and changeovers based on product type and customer requirements.

· Inspect wire and coils for quality, including dimensions, surface finish, markings, and packaging.

· Record production data, coil measurements, and quality checks in logs or ERP systems.

· Ensure coils are properly tagged, labeled, and packaged for storage or shipment.

· Follow safety procedures when handling wire reels, spools, and heavy materials.

· Conduct routine cleaning, minor maintenance, and troubleshooting of coiling machines.

· Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production schedules and minimize downtime.

· Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

· Qualifications & Skills:

· High school diploma or equivalent.

· Previous experience in manufacturing, cable, or wire production preferred.

· Ability to read and interpret production orders, technical drawings, and quality specifications.

· Mechanical aptitude and basic troubleshooting skills.

· Attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.

· Ability to lift and handle coils/reels of wire (weight requirements based on company standards).

· Strong safety awareness and adherence to workplace safety procedures.

Physical Requirements:

· Ability to stand for extended periods.

· Manual handling of coils, reels, and materials 20Kg.

· Ability to operate hoists, lifts, or pallet jacks as required.
