Job Summary
We are currently seeking an experienced Gas Technician (G1) to service industrial and commercial boiler systems.
Reporting to the Service Director, the technician will be responsible for maintenance, commissioning, troubleshooting, and repair of burners, boilers, and combustion systems at customer sites.
This is a field-based role ideal for a technician who enjoys hands-on work, autonomy, and solving complex technical issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on industrial and commercial boilers
- Clean and service water-side and fire-side components
- Tune and optimize burners
- Perform combustion analysis, limit testing, and emissions verification
- Complete boiler start-ups and commissioning
- Troubleshoot and repair burners, fuel trains, controllers, and boiler components
- Diagnose electrical and mechanical issues
- Ensure compliance with TSSA, ESA, gas, oil, and safety standards
- Respond to service and troubleshooting calls at customer locations
- Provide professional customer service and explain findings and solutions
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
Work Environment
- On-site work at customer locations
- Occasional travel within Ontario and outside the province
- Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
- Compliance with company and client health & safety requirements
Qualifications
Required:
- Valid TSSA G1 Gas Technician License
- Minimum 5 years of experience with industrial or commercial boilers
- Experience with gas and oil burners
- Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings
- Knowledge of TSSA and ESA regulations
- Valid Ontario driver’s license
Preferred Skills:
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable, organized, and safety-focused
- Flexibility for after-hours and weekend service calls when required
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $40.00-$55.00 per hour
