Join Our Team at Pick, Plant and Prune Inc.
We are seeking a Garden/Landscape Labourer to join us for the 2025 season!
About the Role
As a Garden/Landscape Labourer, you will play a vital role in maintaining and enhancing beautiful estate gardens. While most of our work involves garden maintenance, we also take on new garden installations for our own designs and other contractors. This is a great opportunity for someone who loves the outdoors, enjoys working on a team, and has an interest in horticulture.
Responsibilities
- Weeding and maintaining gardens
- Pruning shrubs and perennials
- Shovel and moving materials using wheelbarrows
- Raking and occasional use of small electric power tools
What We Don’t Do
- No interlock installation or repair
- No heavy equipment operation
Qualifications
- Must have a valid driver’s license and/or reliable transportation to our main site in Russell, Ontario
- Physically fit and able to handle hard work for 8–10-hour shifts
- Able to lift up to 50 lb and work in summer heat
- Team-oriented, hardworking, and dependable
- Gardening or landscaping experience is an asset but not required
Details
- Schedule: Approximately 20 -30 hours per week, starting at 8 AM and ending around 5 PM
- Starting Wage: $20.00 per hour
- Opportunities for wage increases based on performance and experience
- Transportation from the Russell site to job locations provided
- Tools and equipment supplied
