Full job description

About Stackify
Stackify builds and manages business websites for small and mid-sized companies. We remove the website headache by launching fast and handling everything after. Our platform is built for speed, stability, and long-term maintainability, not one-off projects.

We’re looking for a Full Stack Developer to work directly on our core platform, integrations, and backend systems.

The Role
As a Full Stack Developer at Stackify, you’ll work on the systems that power hundreds of managed websites. This is not a client-by-client agency role. You’ll be improving a shared platform, building reusable components, and maintaining a clean, reliable codebase.

You’ll collaborate closely with product, operations, and delivery to keep the platform fast, flexible, and easy to manage at scale.

This is an in-office role based in Calgary.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop and maintain a PHP-based web application and CMS platform
  • Build and extend backend functionality and APIs
  • Work with relational databases (MySQL or similar)
  • Implement and maintain frontend components (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
  • Handle third-party integrations (forms, analytics, CRMs, scheduling tools, etc.)
  • Improve performance, reliability, and security across the platform
  • Support internal teams by building tools that streamline delivery and updates
  • Maintain clean, readable, well-documented code

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong experience with PHP in a production environment
  • Solid understanding of backend architecture and CMS-style systems
  • Comfortable working across the full stack
  • Experience with REST APIs and third-party integrations
  • Strong SQL/database fundamentals
  • Familiarity with version control (Git)
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of systems

Nice to Have

  • Experience working with CMS platforms or custom content systems
  • Experience building reusable templates or component-based systems
  • Exposure to DevOps concepts (deployment, environments, backups)
  • Experience supporting a multi-site or multi-tenant setup

What This Role Is (And Isn’t)

  • This is platform work, not constant client customization
  • This is long-term system ownership, not short-term projects
  • This is pragmatic engineering, not experimental R&D

What We Offer

  • In-office role in Calgary
  • Competitive salary based on experience
  • Stable product with real users and real impact
  • Small team, low bureaucracy, clear priorities
  • Opportunity to own and improve core systems

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00-$95,000.00 per year
