Flat Roofing Foreman

Terms: Permanent, Full-time.

Location: Victoria, BC.

Salary:

• $47.00 - $51.00/hour plus benefits.

Main Duties include:

• Install, repair or replace built-up roofing systems using materials such as asphalt saturated felts and hot asphalt and gravel
• Apply waterproofing coatings to concrete or other masonry surfaces below or above ground level
• Install, repair or replace single-ply roofing systems using waterproof sheet materials such as modified plastics, elastomeric or other asphaltic compositions
• Supervise crews and work with Superintendent to ensure job requirements are met
• Assist Safety department to ensure sites are complaint for safety and company policies
• Train and mentor apprentices
• Enter crew hours electronically

Employment requirements:

• Completion of High School (Secondary School)
• Minimum 10 years of experience required
• Experience supervising workers
• Computer literacy strongly recommended
• Roofer, Damp & Waterproofing certification required
• Must have (or obtain) own steel-toed safety boots, hard hat, safety glasses/goggles, gloves and tools
• Ability to handle and lift heavy loads, work at heights and in all weather conditions
