Our Client is a major Law Firm located in DT toronto. They are looking for a strong candidate who will assist all aspects of finance for the firm, including management reporting, consolidation of data, financial analysis, financial planning, and modeling.
Primary Responsibilities
- Active participation in month end & quarter-end processes and preparing financial packages for the organization with variance analysis on results.
- Build or update various financial models or datasets to support action-driven analysis.
- Lead weekly / monthly management reporting with supporting commentary and direction to drive appropriate actions.
- Preparation of weekly and monthly reporting and variance analysis to support the cash position (cash flow forecasts).
- Participate in a coordinated environment with other teams on various system-related issues and implementation testing.
- Deep dive in firm cost and expenses analysis and support the planning and forecast for various enabling areas.
- Drive key initiatives by identifying areas of improvement and developing tools for further analysis, tracking, and presentation.
Skills/Knowledge/Experience Required
- Undergraduate degree including relevant professional designation (CPA, CA, CMA)
- 3+ years of progressive experience in a finance role in a fast-paced matrix environment supporting multiple stakeholders
- Strong knowledge of business fundamentals and financial acumen, with exceptional communication skills, including proficiency in storytelling and PowerPoint deck building
- Expert Excel skills with the ability to efficiently handle large data sets and concisely present and summarize for our Executives (SQL scripting an asset)
- Experience with Aderant, BI tools (Microsoft BI – SSRS or Power BI experience an asset)
- Strong communication skills both verbal, written, and presentation skills (bi-lingual an asset)
- Ability to work in a Team environment and manage competing priorities in an agile environment
