Full job description
We are hiring a Field Service Technician to install Fiberspar and Star fiberglass pipe. The role requires strong customer service, time management, problem-solving, and communication skills. Candidates should be adaptable, proactive, and committed to quality service and teamwork. This role allows for independent work within a supportive team. We are willing to train the ideal candidate.
Please note: This role requires regular travel to site locations that may include overnight stays and weekend.
What you will bring:
- Technical certification in a related field is considered an asset.
- Previous experience in warehouse operations, fiberglass, pipeline installation, crew trucks or the oil and gas industry is preferred.
- Physically capable of lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
- Forklift experience is an asset.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with team members and customers.
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with systems applications is considered an asset.
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize deadlines and excellent time management skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities to address challenges that may arise during transportation.
- Possession of, or willingness to obtain, certifications such as H2S Alive and First Aid.
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving abstract.
- Must successfully complete pre-employment testing, including drug and alcohol screening.
What you will do:
- Ensuring full compliance with all TS&M Supply procedures, including ISO standards, safety protocols, and operational guidelines.
- Maintaining a high standard of workmanship and ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to quality expectations.
- Interacting with customers in a professional, courteous, and solution-focused manner.
- Operating, maintaining, and caring for all assigned tools and equipment.
- Provide premiere customer service internally and externally.
- Pick sales and stock orders and prepare for shipment or delivery.
- Prepare, process, and maintain records and paperwork for orders and shipments.
- Load, unload trucks and receive stock while ensuring orders are correct and freight is secured.
- Building custom pups regularly
- Accurately completing and submitting all required field reports and documentation.
- Supporting continuous improvement by maintaining clear, accurate process documentation and adhering to established procedures.
- Applying knowledge of fiberglass materials and installation practices in line with engineering specifications and product requirements.
- Conducting quality control inspections to ensure products and installations meet TS&M Supply’s standards.
- Be part of the on-call rotation that includes weekends and evenings, as necessary.
