We're growing Urban Quarry is currently seeking a full-time Install Technician to perform installations of Natural stone surfaces at Residential and commercial sites. Installation may include but not limited to countertops, Vanity top, Fireplace surrounds, shower walls Etc.…

Job responsibilities & Requirements

• Installing granite and quartz countertops, as well as other projects requiring stone surfaces at residential and commercial sites.
• Load and unload stone surfaces, accessories, supplies and equipment to and from the truck
• Cleanly remove the existing counter-top if required
• Install new sinks when required
• Polishing, adjusting length, finishing cuts, etc., on site, when required
• Set seams using seam machine
• Ensuring installations follow specifications and relevant paperwork is complete and consistent with internal company procedures.
• Maintaining installation trucks clean and organized, in order to give the best possible impression to our customers and partner
• Updating Urban Quarry system accordingly
• Cleaning work area once completed
• Operate a variety of hand and power tools.

• Respect and respond to direction given by lead-hand(s).
• Troubleshoot technical problems related to the installation as they arise
• Travel to installation site, ensuring that all required equipment and tools are available once at the work site
• Respond to customer inquiries and/or concerns while on the job site
• Contact supervisor to resolve any concerns that cannot be addressed on the job site
• Work, train, and assist at the production facility when required
• Maintain health and safety while at work at all times
• Complete other duties as assigned by supervisor
• Understand and comply with all Policies and Procedures.

Qualifications

• Related education and/or previous experience in a similar industry
• Currently working in the trade desirable.
• Holding a valid G class driver’s license, clean driving record
• Exceptional customer service
• Encompass a positive attitude and solid work ethic
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
• Be able to lift upwards of 200 lbs. with assistance
• Work with a team and make sound decisions
• A construction background is a valuable asset
• High level of responsibility and reliability.
• Professionalism in manner and appearance.
• Bilingual (Fluent in English and French) is a valuable asset

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• This position requires the ability to travel
• The installer must be able to work with machinery, equipment, tools, etc.
• Lifting and manipulation of objects of 200 lbs + with assistance
• Use of personal protection equipment is required (e.g., hard-hat, safety boots, safety glasses.)
• The installer may be exposed to hazards associated with the industry
