We’re currently looking for a full-time Digital Marketing Specialist to join our growing team. The position will be working out of our Head Office in Winnipeg, MB. Reporting to the Vice President, Marketing and Partnerships, this role will play a key part in executing our marketing and specifically our digital strategy by managing email marketing campaigns, updating website content, creating engaging content, and overseeing our social media brands presence. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and has a passion for driving digital engagement and growth. This role will work onsite at our Winnipeg based Headquarters.
Key Responsibilities:
Email Marketing
- Plan, create, and execute email marketing campaigns to support business goals
- Manage subscriber lists and segmentation strategies
- Track and analyze campaign performance metrics to optimize results
- Ensure all email communications align with brand standards and compliance regulations
Website Management
- Regularly update and maintain PLAY Hockey website content using Hubspot CMS tools.
- Collaborate with design and development teams to implement new features or landing pages.
- Monitor site performance and suggest improvements to enhance user experience and SEO.
Content Creation
- Develop and write content as needed for a variety of channels including blogs, newsletters, email campaigns, and web pages.
- Collaborate with internal teams and subject matter experts to produce engaging and informative content. Ensure content aligns with brand voice, tone, and strategic objectives.
Social Media Management
- Plan, schedule, and publish content across all key social platforms (Facebook, Instagram, X, TikTok, LinkedIn, etc.)
- Monitor engagement and respond to community interactions in a timely and professional manner.
- Create and maintain a detailed content calendar across multiple brands.
- Analyze social media performance and prepare regular reports to guide strategy and growth.
Qualifications
● Degree in marketing, communications or relevant field.
● Experience in hockey communications or journalism is considered an asset.
● Professional phone, email and interpersonal skills are essential.
● Excellent presentation skills with high energy and the ability to work with others.
● Very strong organizational skills to stay on task and effectively manage competing demands towards successful and timely completion of projects.
● Excellence in writing and grammar.
