Job Overview
The digital marketing specialist is an indispensable part of our summer events plans which includes two festivals (Art in the Park on Canada Day, and Children's Arts Festival), multiple calls for submissions, and collaboration with other organizations on their events. This role requires good knowledge of social media platforms, graphic/digital design software, and good writing skills. We also need the marketing specialist to help us make some videos around programming and events for social media and our website.
Responsibilities:
- Assist our marketing manager with the digital marketing over the summer with planning and scheduling our social media posts
- Create content for marketing and promotional materials (digital, video, and print)
- Copyediting marketing materials before they are published
- Assisting with promotional campaigns for our exhibitions, festivals, and events during the summer
- Assisting the marketing manager with content and marketing for our website during the summer, organizing our archives, this includes promotional materials for the website
- Creating content such as blog posts and program descriptions, copyediting pages before they are published.
The digital marketing specialist will receive mentorship under our Marketing Manager, network with multiple arts and nonprofit organizations in the region, and gain valuable first-hand experience in marketing campaigns for events

Requirements
- All candidates must be a Canadian Citizen, Permanent Resident, or have Refugee Status
- Be legally entitled to work in Canada
- Be willing to commit to the full duration of the work assignment
- Must pass a Criminal Record Check
- Class 5 Driver’s License – with own vehicle (preference)
- A recent graduate of college/university is an asset (preference will be given to a candidate with training in Visual or Performing Arts, or Event Management)

Job Types: Full-time, Seasonal
Contract length: 12 weeks
Pay: $18.25 per hour
