Diesel Technician

Weidner Motors Ltd has an amazing opportunity for the right candidate with the right experience! We are actively seeking an experienced Diesel Journeyman Technician to join our team.

Requirements:

• Journeyman technician license
• Valid driver's license
• 3-5 years of direct work experience in automotive repairs and service. GM experience is an asset.
• Be able to work independently and assist others as needed in a team
• Punctual and reliable
• Positive attitude
• Monday - Friday with occasional Saturday shifts

Roles & Responsibilities

• Inspecting and diagnosing issues with diesel and gas vehicles to identify any issues or potential problems while documenting all findings
• Reading and interpreting diagnostic test results
• Repairing or replacing malfunctioning parts
• Testing the functionality of repaired vehicles
• Inspecting and diagnosing brake systems, steering mechanisms, transmissions, and engines for damage and wear
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organized work environment
• Advising customers on work performed, general vehicle condition, and future repair requirements
• Ordering parts as required
• Perform recalls
• Communicate daily with service advisors and service management to provide updates on the vehicles status of repairs and to discuss any further issues or concerns
