Overview
Join our dedicated team as a Behaviour Interventionist and make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and individuals with developmental disabilities. In this role, you will implement evidence-based behavioral therapies, primarily applied behavior analysis (ABA), to support clients in developing essential skills and managing behaviors. Your work will foster independence, enhance communication, and improve overall quality of life through compassionate, structured interventions. Responsibilities

  • Deliver individualized behavioral therapy sessions based on approved care plans, utilizing principles of applied behavior analysis (ABA) and behavioral management techniques.
  • Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs)s.
  • Collect and analyze data during sessions to monitor progress, inform treatment adjustments, and ensure fidelity to intervention strategies.
  • Collaborate with team members and families.
  • Maintain accurate medical documentation, records, and progress notes in compliance.
  • Support clients in educational settings by implementing strategies that promote learning and social skills within a special education framework.
  • Foster a safe, engaging environment that encourages positive behavior change through patient care and proactive behavior management.

Experience

  • Prior experience working with children or individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) or other developmental disabilities is highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of behavioral therapy techniques, especially applied behavior analysis (ABA), is essential.
  • Experience assisting with ADLs or providing patient care in educational or healthcare settings will be beneficial.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with families, team members, and clients are required.
