Overview

The Recruitment Manager is responsible for leading recruitment and talent attraction activities to support the organization's current and future workforce needs. The incumbent provides leadership to recruitment staff, develops recruitment and workforce planning strategies, and works closely with leaders to attract, recruit, and retain qualified employees. The role monitors recruitment trends, workforce data, and labour market challenges to support informed decision-making and continuous improvement. The Recruitment Manager builds and maintains relationships with Indigenous communities, educational institutions, community organizations, and other partners to strengthen recruitment efforts and workforce development opportunities. The incumbent leads initiatives that support Indigenous recruitment and workforce representation and promotes inclusive and culturally safe recruitment practices. The Recruitment Manager is responsible for improving recruitment processes, systems, and services to enhance efficiency, candidate experience, and hiring outcomes. Through leadership, collaboration, community engagement, and strategic planning, the role supports workforce sustainability and organizational priorities

The incumbent must fulfill the requirements of the Criminal Records/Vulnerable Person, Child Abuse Registry check and Adult Abuse Registry check, and adhere to all Northern Health Region policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Post-Secondary education in Human Resources, Labour Relations, Business Administration (suitable combinations of education & experience may be considered)
  • Two (2) years’ supervisory/management experience
  • Three (3) years of experience in recruitment, human resources, workforce development, community engagement, or a related field
  • Thorough knowledge of Windows based programs (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook) and Internet
  • Knowledge of recruitment, retention, workforce planning, and talent attraction strategies
  • Education or training in Indigenous relations, cultural safety, anti-racism, trauma-informed care, public engagement, or a related field is an asset
  • Current, active membership with the Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) preferred
  • Valid Manitoba Class V driver’s license, access to a vehicle, and willingness to travel year round
