An esteemed educational institution in Mississauga, Ontario, is looking for a dedicated professional to join its faculty as a Professor of Medical Radiation Technology. This contract position provides a unique opportunity for an individual passionate about healthcare education and student success in the field of Medical Radiation Sciences.

Position Overview

  • Location: Mississauga, Ontario
  • Compensation: $80.62 per hour
  • Type: Contract, Fixed Term Contract

Role Summary

The successful candidate will be integral in delivering courses within the Medical Radiation Technology program, leveraging best practices in adult education to ensure student success. This includes developing and updating syllabi, course materials, and incorporating educational technologies into the learning process.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Teach courses using adult education principles.
  • Update and maintain course curricula to reflect best practices in the field.
  • Create an inclusive learning environment for a diverse student body.
  • Assess student performance and provide constructive feedback.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to enhance the learning experience.
  • Use learning management systems to support student outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in Medical Radiation Sciences or a related field; a graduate degree is preferred.
  • Active membership in good standing with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in a Medical Radiation Technologist role or similar.
  • Strong commitment to excellence in teaching and student learning.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience in supporting students with learning differences and teaching at the post-secondary level.
  • Proficiency in computer skills and willingness to use educational tools.
  • Experience in curriculum development and facilitating learning at the post-secondary level.
