Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated Engineer in Training to join our team in Delta, BC. The ideal candidate will assist with the design and detailing of bridges, bridge components, and steel structures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Modelling and design of steel components such as bridge bearings
  • Design of pedestrian bridges
  • Design of structures to the relevant design code (CSA S16-14 and the BC building code)
  • Design and detailing of bolted and welded steel connections
  • Conduct field reviews of completed work
  • Assist and provide input in preparing quotes
  • Assist with research and development of new products

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Proficient in the use of structural analysis, finite element analysis and detailing software
  • Proficient in 3D modeling and CAD
  • Demonstrate written and verbal English communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment

Required Training and Experience:

  • Degree in civil engineering
