We have an opening for a full-time Senior Director of Finance position in our head office located in Richmond, BC. This position will report to the CEO.

This is a hybrid position, in office Monday to Thursday, with the flexibility to work remotely on Fridays.

What You Will Be Responsible For:

  • Oversee comprehensive monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting requirements, including the preparation of complex multi-currency consolidated financial statements that strictly adhere to ASPE.
  • Direct and manage the annual external audit process, ensuring flawless coordination and timely resolution of inquiries.
  • Communicate with banking partners, manage key relationships and all aspects of compliance and reporting deliverables.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performance accounting and finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and professional growth.
  • Oversee multi-jurisdictional income tax, commodity tax and other tax filing, reporting, and compliance. Work with external tax business partners to coordinate timely and accurate filings.
  • Develop and enhance FP&A capabilities, including budgeting, forecasting, KPI reporting, variance analysis, and financial modeling to improve organizational performance and accountability.
  • Facilitate the corporate annual budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring timely monthly reporting of financial results and variance analysis to department leaders.
  • Actively maintain and enforce corporate profitability standards and financial goals to drive operational efficiency and margin protection.
  • Facilitate critical annual credit and insurance renewals, while continuously monitoring and ensuring strict credit compliance.
  • Strategically manage ongoing global cash flow, working capital, and treasury functions to support business growth and international logistics.

What You Bring:

  • Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation and a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience in finance or accounting, with at least 3 years serving in a dedicated management or leadership role within a complex, multi-entity, multi-currency business. Proven experience directing and mentoring a large high-performance finance team.
  • Superior knowledge of complex accounting concepts, taxation, techniques, consolidation principles, and ASPE & taxation compliance frameworks.
  • Leads with humility and a hands-on approach, equally comfortable shaping long-term strategy and working alongside the team to tackle day-to-day challenges.
  • The ability to serve as a trusted advisor to the executive team, translating financial insights into strategic recommendations that support long-term business success.
  • Previous experience utilizing a Microsoft ERP system (Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central) is a strong asset.

Starting Salary: $225,000
