Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Excavator Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating heavy machinery, specifically excavators, to assist in various construction and excavation projects. This role requires a strong understanding of heavy equipment operation, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Duties

  • Operate excavators and other heavy equipment such as loaders, dozers, and rollers for various construction tasks.
  • Perform excavation activities to prepare sites for building projects.
  • Dig trenches, foundations, and other necessary structures according to project specifications.
  • Conduct routine maintenance checks on equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety.
  • Collaborate with site supervisors and other operators to coordinate work activities effectively.
  • Follow safety protocols and regulations while operating machinery on-site.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all tools and equipment are stored properly after use.

Experience

  • Proven experience in heavy equipment operation, particularly with excavators and heavy civil projects.
  • Experience in commercial driving is a plus.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge related to the maintenance and troubleshooting of heavy equipment.
  • Previous experience with loaders, dozers and other equipment a plus.
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.
