Civil Construction Labourer

Highroad Excavating Ltd. — Langley, BC (and surrounding areas)
$20–$25 per hour (based on experience)
Full-time, year-round work

About Us

Highroad Excavating Ltd. is a well-established civil construction and trucking company serving the Lower Mainland and Okanagan. We specialize in underground utilities, site servicing, trenching, grading, and bulk excavation. Our crews take pride in doing high-quality work safely, efficiently, and as a team.

Position Overview

We’re looking for hard-working and reliable labourers to join our civil construction crews. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working outdoors, learning new skills, and supporting experienced operators and pipe layers on municipal and private projects.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in trenching, pipe installation, grading, and backfilling
  • Use hand tools, compactors, and small equipment safely
  • Set up trench boxes, shoring, and safety barricades
  • Perform general site cleanup and material handling
  • Work closely with operators and pipe layers to maintain productivity
  • Follow company safety policies and procedures at all times

Qualifications

  • Previous civil construction or utility installation experience preferred
  • Ability to work in varying weather conditions and terrain
  • Physically fit and safety-conscious
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s licence and reliable transportation
  • Good attitude and willingness to learn

Compensation & Benefits

  • $20–$25/hr, depending on experience
  • Opportunities for advancement into pipe laying or equipment operation
