Full job description

We are currently seeking a reliable and hardworking Paint Shop Painter to join team. This is a full-time position offering steady hours, opportunities for overtime, and a comprehensive benefits plan.

The ideal candidate takes pride in quality workmanship, works well in a team environment, and maintains a strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare materials and surfaces for painting (sanding, cleaning, masking, etc.)
  • Apply paint and coatings to lumber and related materials using spray equipment and other tools
  • Ensure consistent coverage and quality standards are met
  • Operate and maintain paint shop equipment safely
  • Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment
  • Assist with general yard or shop duties as needed

Qualifications

  • Previous painting or industrial finishing experience preferred (will train the right candidate)
  • Experience with spray equipment is an asset
  • Ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
