As Manager, Voluntary Benefits , you'll lead a national mandate for one of Medavie Blue Cross’ rapidly expanding lines of business. This role is ideal for a sales leader who knows how to build momentum, open new distribution opportunities, and turn strategy into measurable premium growth.
You’ll work closely with sales leaders, consultants, advisors, and clients, marketing and product teams to strengthen our market presence and accelerate growth. With a portfolio serving organizations ranging from fewer than 100 lives to 10,000+ lives, this is an opportunity to influence strategy, shape go-to-market execution and make a meaningful impact on the future of voluntary benefits.
What You'll Do
- Set and execute the growth strategy for Medavie Blue Cross’ voluntary portfolio
- Coach, develop, and inspire a high-performing sales team with clear goals, strong accountability, and a focus on sustained growth.
- Identify, evaluate and activate new distribution opportunities, strategic partnerships, and market channels.
- Collaborate with sales leaders and business partners to drive premium growth and expand market presence.
- Build strong relationships with consultants, advisors, clients, and internal stakeholders.
- Partner with marketing and product teams to support go-to-market strategies, campaigns, and business growth initiatives.
- Monitor business performance, market trends, and competitive activity to identify new opportunities and inform business decisions.
- Establish scalable sales practices, operating rhythms, and performance actions that support long-term growth.
What You Bring
- Experience in group insurance or employee benefits is required; experience with optional or voluntary benefits is strongly preferred.
- Proven success leading and developing high-performing sales teams.
- A strategic mindset with the ability to turn plans into action and deliver measurable business results.
- Knowledge of group insurance concepts, market dynamics, and emerging industry trends.
- Experience working with large, complex clients and navigating multiple stakeholder groups.
- Demonstrated ability to build strong, credible relationships with clients, consultants, advisors, and internal stakeholders.
- Strong verbal, written, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence diverse audiences.
- Proficiency with Salesforce, Microsoft Office, and reporting tools, with a strong comfort level working with data and analytics.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel regularly within Eastern Canada by ground and air.
- LLQP designation is an asset; candidates who do not hold their LLQP will be expected to obtain it after hire.
- French language skills are considered an asset.

Pay Range: $99,178 - $110,000 CAD plus incentives
