Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented FSQA (Food Safety and Quality Assurance) Lead to champion our commitment to excellence in food safety, quality, and compliance. As an FSQA Lead, you will oversee the implementation and maintenance of rigorous quality assurance processes across our production and distribution operations. Your energetic leadership will ensure that all products meet the highest safety standards while fostering a culture of continuous improvement. This role offers an exciting opportunity to influence quality practices, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and drive operational excellence in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and monitor comprehensive food safety and quality assurance programs aligned with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead internal audits, inspections, and assessments to verify compliance with HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point), ISO, and other relevant certifications.
  • Collaborate with production teams to identify root causes of quality issues and develop corrective action plans promptly.
  • Manage documentation related to quality metrics, inspection reports, non-conformance reports, and validation procedures.
  • Maintains verification of the HACCP, BRC and other claim requirements.
  • Verifies of daily Operations Records including all the pre-requisite programs and Monitoring CCP’s for poultry, water thawing and other documentations.
  • Supports with investigation of CAPA’s for consumer/customer complaints and processing deviations
  • Facilitate training sessions for staff on food safety protocols, proper handling procedures, and quality standards.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure raw materials meet specified safety and quality benchmarks.
  • Proven experience leading QA or FSQA teams within the food manufacturing or related industries.
  • Strong understanding of food safety standards such as HACCP, GFSI (Global Food Safety Initiative), BRC or SQF experience
  • Strong analytical skills combined with excellent communication abilities to lead audits, investigations, and team training sessions effectively
  • Support HACCP Coordinator on reviewing documentation and facilitating CFIA inspectors to complete their CVS tasks or exports.

Education:

  • BSc. Degree in a food related field of study (must have)

Experience:

  • Minimum 3-5 year of experience in a food production environment
  • Minimum 3 years as QA

Pay: $55,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
