About Avro GSE and the Saskarc Group

Avro GSE Inc. is a fast-growing provider of aviation ground support equipment and a proud member of the Saskarc Group of Companies. Saskarc Group, headquartered in Oxbow, SK, is a diversified industrial group with expertise across steel fabrication, equipment supply, and industrial services. Being part of Saskarc gives Avro the strength of a larger organization while maintaining the agility and entrepreneurial spirit of a specialized business unit.

This role contributes not only to Avro’s success, but to the financial performance of the broader Saskarc Group.

The Opportunity

We’re looking for a Finance Manager to join us in Regina and become a true business partner to our General Manager and operational teams. Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, you’ll lead Avro’s financial operations end-to-end — from the monthly close and forecasting cycle through to the strategic insights that shape how we grow.

You’ll lead a team of 2 Finance Associates and have a direct line of sight to both Avro’s day-to-day decisions and Saskarc Group’s broader trajectory.

Why Join Us

  • Salary range: $80,000 to $100,000 per year, commensurate with experience
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision benefits
  • 3 weeks of paid vacation
  • Annual performance bonus tied to Avro and Group results
  • Professional development support, including CPA dues and PD hours
  • The stability of Saskarc Group combined with the entrepreneurial pace of a specialized GSE business
  • Clear pathways for advancement within the broader Group

What You’ll Do

  • Oversee Avro’s day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Group policies
  • Supervise the Accounts Payable and Receivable function, with strong internal controls and timely processing
  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including margin and variance reporting
  • Lead the budgeting and forecasting cycle, providing rolling forecasts and scenario analysis
  • Monitor cash flow, treasury, and working capital to ensure strong liquidity and financial health
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations, audits, and external reporting requirements
  • Strengthen internal controls in alignment with Group standards
  • Supervise and mentor a team of 2 Finance Associates, supporting their growth and development
  • Partner with sales and operations on pricing, customer credit reviews, invoicing, and collections
  • Provide ad-hoc analysis and business cases to support growth initiatives and operational improvements
  • Travel occasionally to other Avro locations

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field — or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • CPA designation, or active progress toward CPA, strongly preferred
  • 3–5 years of experience in a Finance Manager or comparable senior finance role
  • Strong working knowledge of Canadian financial reporting standards (ASPE or IFRS, as applicable), CRA tax compliance, USA state tax filing compliance, and Canadian and US payroll requirements
  • Experience in a multi-entity environment, ideally within manufacturing, equipment supply, or industrial services
  • Hands-on experience with Acumatica or similar ERP and advanced Excel skills
  • Demonstrated commercial acumen — you’re comfortable connecting financial results to operational drivers and translating numbers into decisions
  • Leadership and mentoring skills, with a track record of building high-performing finance teams
  • A process-improvement mindset, with the ability to recommend efficiencies in reporting and operations
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to partner credibly with operational leaders at all levels
