Family Physician (NOC 31102)

Coulee Medical Clinic Ltd. operating as Coulee Medical Clinic

● Permanent, Full-time for 6 Family Physician positions

● On site from clinic locations in Southern Alberta at:

○ 740 4 Ave S., #210, Lethbridge, AB. T1J 0N9

○ 4110A Westview Close, Taber, AB. T1G 0C8

○ 301 4 Ave, Stirling, AB T0K 2E0

○ 2105 20th Ave, Coaldale, AB T1M 0C4

● Salary: Minimum $10,000 biweekly or 75% of total billings, whichever is greater, paid bi-weekly

● Hours: 30 to 44 hours/ week

Coulee Medical Clinics are part of a multi-site primary care group serving more than 10,000 patients. Each clinic provides publicly funded medical services supported by NPs, RNs, LPNs, MOAs, and admin on a modern EMR with AI-enabled workflows. Centralized billing, IT, analytics, HR, and recruitment reduce overhead, enable cross-coverage, and strengthen referral volume.

● Located in Taber, across from the hospital and ED

Stirling clinic

● Brand new building, with allied health services to be on site

● Staffed by MD’s, NP’s, LPN’s and MOA’s

● Located in Stirling, alongside the pharmacy

Coaldale clinic

● Newly Proposed clinic site with opportunity to grow

● Aimed to be staffed by MD’s, NP’s, LPN’s and MOA’s

● Located in Coaldale near pharmacy

Role description

Core responsibilities:

● Provide comprehensive primary care across chronic, acute, preventive, and well visits in person, virtual from the clinic, and via secure messaging with timely follow up.

● Collect medical information from patients, family members, or other medical professionals

● Examine patients’ health condition to identify diseases and injuries

● Help patients develop healthy habits, break old habits and reshape their approach to wellness

● Order laboratory tests, X-rays and other diagnostic procedures to determine the most appropriate medical treatment

● Consult with other medical practitioners to evaluate patients' physical and mental health

● Prescribe and administer medications and treatments

● Perform and assist in routine surgery

● Advise patients on health care

● Supervise staff

● Report births, deaths, contagious and other diseases to government authorities

● Be the patient advocate

● Co-ordinate or manage primary patient care

● Provide acute care management

● Provide counselling and support to patients and their families on a wide range of health and lifestyle issues

● Supervise 1-2 people

Compensation and benefits

● Minimum $10,000 biweekly or 75% of total billings, whichever is greater, paid bi-weekly. Payment can be made through CSPA approved medical professional corporation as physician will be providing publicly funded medical services to the clinic under a fee for service arrangement.

Qualifications and requirements

● MD (or DO) with CCFP completed or enrolled

● Medical Council of Canada Qualifying Examination (MCCQE I and MCCQE II)

● Licensed or eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta; CMPA coverage
