Full job description

We are looking for a secondary teacher to join our learning support team in a full or part-time capacity. Teaching areas include literacy, written expression, and executive function skills.

Part-time roles include Sundays from 9-6 and one or two weekdays from 11:30-8:30. The full-time schedule is a 4-day work week from Sunday to Wednesday, 9 hours per day (Sundays 9-6, weekdays 11:30-8:30).

ABOUT US

Ruth Rumack’s Learning Space (RRLS) is an educational support company for students from kindergarten to university, including those with learning exceptionalities.

We teach students primarily in a 1-to-1 setting and design individualized lesson plans that help students achieve academic and lifelong success. Our lessons are highly interactive, kinesthetic, and catered to support a student's specific learning needs.

WHAT WE NEED

  • OCT certification or relevant teaching experience
  • 2+ years of experience teaching students
  • Ability to support a wide range of learners with special education needs
  • Special Education experience or qualifications an asset
  • Experience integrating technology into lessons an asset
  • Excellent command of the English language
  • A fun, warm, and empathetic personality
