Carte is currently seeking a detailed and organized IE Manager to lead and support our team of Industrial Engineers. The ideal candidate will provide technical support and guidance to support the implementation of projects for the Industrial Engineering and Maintenance Departments. Responsibilities are very diverse and will include analyzing operations, creating workflows and manufacturing processes, minimizing inefficiencies, and ensuring that finished goods satisfy defined quality standards.

What You’ll Need to be Successful

· Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering or related engineering discipline is required.

· Licensing by provincial association of Professional Engineers (P.Eng.) is required.

· Advanced understanding of manufacturing equipment, procedures, and standards.

· Project Management Certification is required.

· Minimum five years’ relevant experience including two years directly related to manufacturing and project management.

· Advanced knowledge of systems, tools, and solutions for productivity.

· Understand technical documentation, and industrial blueprints and plans.

· Problem-solving, critical thinking, and creativity.

· Ability to determine how operations, environments, and systems interact.

· Excellent interpersonal skills, professional attitude and approach

· Strong verbal and written communication skills.

· Excellent communication and presenting abilities.

· Troubleshooting abilities and a keen eye for detail are essential.

· Skills in documentation and organizing.

· MS Office and AutoCAD skills are required.

What You’ll be Doing:

· Conduct process analysis and measure capacity planning for manufacturing loads and forecasting.

· Coordinate and manage multiple projects.

· Direct and lead Carte’s Industrial Engineering and Maintenance teams.

· Evaluate final research results and projects to ensure they meet the technical objectives, manufacturing processes and continuously evolving production requirements including new equipment.

· Stay updated with knowledge of industrial engineering procedures, associate with various projects of manufacturing and production, keep track of all productivity, design various processes and ensure that all procedures are carried out by following the safety standards.

· Monitor reporting procedures daily to keep track of regular work activities of each reporting employee and ensure all processes are executed by considering the fiscal budgets; prepare strategic models.

· Ability to lead the team by mentoring and building an IE and Maintenance department to assist the overall development of the plant operation.

· Supervise the preventive maintenance schedules, inventory parts and daily consumable usage.

· Plan and assign work strategies in the production schedule that covers maintenance of process equipment and inspection at proper intervals.

· Develop integrated production and manufacturing systems to meet current and future production targets.

· Conduct studies of new equipment and machinery and recommend efficient options

· Research and present innovative solutions to production issues.

· Assist with equipment installations and project planning.

· Keep lines of communication open and promote quality work habits with vendors and contractors.

· Ensure environmental standards and safety requirements are met.

· Support the Lean Manufacturing efforts and philosophy at Carte.

Direct Projects

· Supervise work projects and direct staff involved in the projects;

· Provide guidelines in development and research, production and quality control in fabrication industry, and production industries.

· Identify new technology-based opportunities for new product development and expansion of the company.
