Full job description

Associated Environmental Consultants, part of the Associated Engineering Group of companies, is a proudly Canadian, employee-owned organization. We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Junior Biologist to join our team in our Regina office. In this role you will be responsible for supporting the Saskatchewan biology and regulatory team with the opportunity to support teams throughout the company as required.

What you’ll do:

  • Work as a field biologist and contribute technical expertise to a variety of projects including environmental field surveys, reclamation, and environmental monitoring.
  • Prepare high quality scientific and technical reports, including permits and regulatory documents.
  • Support permitting and approval processes.
  • Manage time and budget for assigned tasks.
  • Contribute to business development, proposal writing, and fostering client relationships.

Does this sound like you?

  • Undergraduate degree (B.Sc.) in a relevant pure or applied science.
  • Registered or eligible for registration with the Alberta Society of Professional Biologists as a Biologist in Training.
  • Willingness to work in the field in remote locations.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the drive to continue learning and work in a close team environment.
  • Knowledge of provincial and federal legislation and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong time management and organizational ability.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills.
  • Ability to follow direction and take initiative.
  • Ability to think strategically.
  • Ability to convert plans into action and effectively manage time and deliver on commitments.
