Full job description

HAP Trucking LTd looking for Dispatcher for long haul trucking .

Minimum 2 year experience dispatching trucks long haul

  • Experienced in using Load link to find loads
  • Experienced in clearing borders using /ACE e-Manifest
  • Update customers with driver's location and status update
  • Experienced in Truckmate software.
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Effective communication skills
  • Plan and coordinate operational logistics
  • Knowledge of pricing and quoting when booking loads
  • Dispatch personnel according to written schedules and work orders, or as required by emergency situations
  • Maintain contact with drivers throughout their shifts and address any routing issues they might have
  • Other duties as requested.

Dispatcher Specific Skills
Record mileage, fuel use, repairs and other expenses
Operate computer-aided communications and dispatching equipment
Dispatch personnel according to schedules and work orders
Dispatch personnel as required by emergency situations
Schedule assignments and co-ordinate activities of vehicle operators, crews and equipment
Keep track of shipments
Follow-up on issues with work orders
Knowledge of cross border dispatching regulations and practices
Maintain vehicle operator work records

Job Duties:

  • Dispatch personnel according to written schedules and work orders, or as required by emergency situations
  • Maintain contact with drivers throughout their shifts and address any routing issues they might have
  • Monitor road conditions, construction zones, and accidents in order to revise routes as needed
  • Update customers on the status of their deliveries including any delays that occur
  • Maintain vehicle operator work records using computerized or manual methods and ensure time sheets and payroll summaries are completed accurately
  • Other duties as requested
