WHAT WERE LOOKING FOR

Seeking a dependable RBQ licensed Field Installation Technician to support residential equipment installations across Québec. This position suits a hands-on professional who is comfortable working independently, has strong technical aptitude, and values delivering a positive in-home client experience

WHAT THIS ROLE INVOLVES

  • Perform on-site installation of mobility-related equipment in private residences
  • Follow technical drawings and installation guidelines to ensure accurate setup
  • Guide clients through the process and provide clear, easy-to-understand explanations
  • Address client inquiries and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Inspect and test equipment to confirm proper operation and safety compliance
  • Provide basic operational training to end users prior to job completion
  • Identify and resolve mechanical or minor electrical issues in the field
  • Maintain accurate service records and complete required documentation
  • Handle materials as needed, including preparation or minor modifications
  • Manage tools, parts, and stock levels for daily assignments
  • Load and unload equipment and maintain organization of work materials
  • Adhere to company safety practices and maintain equipment in good condition
  • Ensure company-provided tools, vehicle, and devices are properly maintained
  • Participate in occasional weekend work based on operational needs
  • Travel within Québec and occasionally beyond, including overnight assignments
  • ·Be available for work on weekends as required
  • Support additional operational tasks as required

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Practical experience in installation, construction, or a related field
  • Troubleshoot basic mechanical and electrical issues with product
  • Ability to work with a variety of surfaces and materials
  • Strong problem-solving skills with mechanical aptitude
  • Comfortable using both manual and powered tools
  • Self-sufficient with the ability to manage work independently
  • Clear communicator with a professional and patient approach
  • Basic computer proficiency for reporting and documentation

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

  • High school diploma or equivalent experience
  • Valid RBQ license (mandatory)
  • CMEQ License (Elevator Mechanic License)
  • Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record
  • Clear background check
  • Mechanical and/or electrical knowledge considered an asset
  • Bilingual in French and English

WORK CONDITIONS

  • Frequent travel and extended periods of driving
  • Regular handling and transport of equipment and materials
  • Occasional overnight stays for out-of-area assignments
  • Ability to lift heavier items (up to approximately 120 lbs)
  • Physical activity including standing, bending, and reaching

CE QUE CE POSTE IMPLIQUE

  • Installer sur site des équipements liés à la mobilité dans des résidences privées
  • Suivre les plans techniques et les directives d’installation pour assurer une installation précise
  • Accompagner les clients tout au long du processus et fournir des explications claires et simples
  • Répondre aux questions des clients et résoudre les problèmes rapidement et professionnellement
  • Inspecter et tester l’équipement pour garantir son fonctionnement correct et sa conformité à la sécurité
  • Fournir une formation de base aux utilisateurs avant la fin de l’installation
  • Identifier et résoudre les problèmes mécaniques ou électriques mineurs sur le terrain
  • Tenir des dossiers de service précis et compléter la documentation requise
  • Manipuler les matériaux nécessaires, y compris la préparation ou les modifications mineures
  • Gérer les outils, les pièces et les niveaux de stock pour les tâches quotidiennes
  • Charger et décharger l’équipement et maintenir l’organisation des matériaux de travail
  • Respecter les pratiques de sécurité de l’entreprise et maintenir l’équipement en bon état
  • Veiller à l’entretien approprié des outils, du véhicule et des dispositifs fournis par l’entreprise
  • Participer occasionnellement à du travail le week-end selon les besoins opérationnels
  • Se déplacer à travers le Québec et occasionnellement au-delà, y compris pour des missions avec nuitées
  • Soutenir d’autres tâches opérationnelles selon les besoins

CE QUE VOUS APPORTEZ

  • Expérience pratique en installation, construction ou domaine connexe
  • Capacité à travailler avec une variété de surfaces et de matériaux
  • Solides compétences en résolution de problèmes et aptitude mécanique
  • À l’aise avec l’utilisation d’outils manuels et électriques
  • Autonomie et capacité à gérer le travail de manière indépendante
  • Communicateur clair avec approche professionnelle et patiente
  • Connaissances informatiques de base pour le suivi et la documentation

CE DONT VOUS AUREZ BESOIN

  • Diplôme d’études secondaires ou expérience équivalente
  • Licence RBQ valide (obligatoire)
  • Licence CMEQ (licence de mécanicien d’ascenseurs)
  • Permis de conduire valide avec dossier de conduite satisfaisant
  • Casier judiciaire vierge
  • Connaissances mécaniques et/ou électriques un atout
  • Bilingue français et anglais
  • Déplacements fréquents et longues périodes de conduite
  • Manipulation et transport réguliers d’équipements et de matériaux
  • Séjour occasionnel hors région pour des missions
  • Capacité à soulever des charges plus lourdes (jusqu’à environ 55 kg)
  • Activité physique incluant station debout, flexion et étirement

Pay: $100,000.00-$130,000.00 per year
