A Bit About Us:

Colossus Security provides over 100 years of combined experience with a successful track record and serves as a testament to our dedication in providing sound security solutions. We take pride in delivering innovative solutions that keep our clients at the forefront of our efforts. Security has changed; it is no longer just wearing hardhats and getting dirty in factories pulling cable all day long. Today, a Security Technician is also highly skilled in computers, networks, low-voltage electrical equipment, and software, generally working in office buildings, retail spaces, and new constructions. You will be trained to create and support the installation of security systems to protect our clients’ employees and buildings.

The best part is you are never stuck in the same office 9-5. You don’t have to go through mundane meetings at the office water cooler, and you don’t have to look at the same cubicle every day. Your hours generally vary to accommodate traffic and other personal needs. You get to meet different people, work in different locations regularly, and always engage in new and exciting tasks. With this position, there is a real sense of pride, and you will leave a lasting impact on the world. You’ll be able to see the buildings you pass are protected and the people inside are safe because of you—the unsung hero.

What Does It Pay?

  • $20.00 - $45.00 hourly.
  • Four levels of technicians, ranging from Junior to Lead. Compensation quickly grows as your skills grow, based on certifications, skill sets, and time within the company.
  • Vacation, Benefits, Sick Days, Flexible Hours, Training, and overtime if desired.

How Do You Grow?

We want you to excel. If you excel, so do we as a company. You are the backbone of the organization, and we cannot function without you. When you join our team, we will provide all the training you need, and we cover the entire cost (travel, meals, lodging). Some of the training locations are Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Austin, Boston, Kansas City, Toronto, and Ottawa. As your list of certifications grows, and you become an expert, your compensation will follow.

Where Do We Work?

Most of your work falls between Yonge St in Toronto and moves west to Kitchener. We are, however, a international company with clients from Quebec to BC and throughout the US, serviced through our partners or in-house technicians.

How Does It All Work?

Level 1 technicians will be teamed up with a Level 3 (or higher) technician to ensure you are properly trained and get comfortable with the position. Essentially, you learn the ropes with an experienced professional. You will assist them in day-to-day operations and become accustomed to our sites. Through this time, you will see how a Level 3 (or higher) technician completes the day, whether through cabling a new install or troubleshooting a layer 3 network switch. You will become accustomed to how we interact with our clients and build a strong foundation with the equipment we use.

Once you and your mentor feel comfortable with your abilities and you have obtained at least one certification, you will be graduated to a Level 2 Technician. All our Level 2 and up technicians are provided their own Truck with a gas/maintenance card to get to our clients and back again. Major tools and specialty equipment will be provided with your work vehicle. Hand tools (the day-to-day) will be up to you to provide. PPE equipment is provided when required (hardhat, glasses, vests). After your first year, we provide an allowance towards your steel-toe shoes.

What It’s Like to Be on Our Team:

We’re like a championship-winning sports team—focused, driven, and always striving for excellence. Just like in sports, every team member plays a crucial role, and we value the unique strengths each person brings to the game. We push ourselves to go above and beyond for our clients because we know that their safety is in our hands. We take immense pride in our performance, knowing that precision and teamwork are key to success.

We embrace challenges head-on and understand that mistakes are part of the process. When we stumble, we huddle together, learn from the experience, and come back stronger, ready to tackle the next challenge with renewed energy and focus.

Ready to Join Us?

If you’re excited about making a real difference and being part of a team that values excellence and innovation, we want to hear from you. Apply now and become a key player in Colossus Security’s winning team!
