What You'll Do:

The Electrician is responsible for the field level scope associated with the various projects undertaken by CSCL. To achieve this objective, the electrician’s primary responsibilities are:

  • Responsible for completing tasks related to the installation, energization, and maintenance of cathodic protection systems.
  • Responsible for completing tasks relating to field and installation of AC mitigation projects.
  • Responsible for obtaining permits, where required, to execute work.
  • Responsible for the maintenance and operational function of assigned vehicle, tools, and equipment.
  • Responsible to coordinate and complete the specific project task objectives.
  • Responsible for the in-field training and development of other team members

General Responsibilities:

  • Vehicle, trailer, and equipment preventative maintenance.
  • Following lock out / tag out (LOTO) procedures.
  • Removal of existing impressed current cathodic protection rectifiers.
  • Removal of misc. existing cathodic protection / electrical components such as old remote monitoring units, old AC panels, old intermediate junction boxes, old conduit, and connectors etc.
  • Installation of new impressed current cathodic protection rectifiers.
  • Pulling permits from applicable provincial authorities within Saskatchewan, if required.
  • Cable routing in trenches, excavations, and conduit etc.

Operations Administration

  • Respond promptly to Customer/Project issues in co-operation with the Junior/Senior Team Leaders and project staff.
  • Provide on-site technical advice to team personnel as required. Provide Junior/Senior Team Leaders information regarding technical problems to allow a remedial plan to be determined in a cost-effective manner.
  • Follow Corrosion Service’s and clients’ operations HSE procedures and policies.
  • Ensure that all required reporting is submitted to the Team Leads/Project Engineers
  • Follow inventory removal/addition procedures to ensure accurate counts.
