We are currently seeking an experienced Lowbed / Heavy Haul Driver to join our growing team.

Position Overview

As a Lowbed / Heavy Haul Driver, you will be responsible for transporting heavy equipment and oversized loads using specialized trailer configurations throughout Canada and the United States. The successful candidate will have extensive experience operating lowbeds, multi-axle trailer combinations, and heavy haul equipment while maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely transport heavy equipment and oversized loads using lowbed and heavy haul trailer configurations
  • Load, unload, position, and secure equipment using chains, binders, and approved cargo securement methods
  • Operate winch tractors and assist with loading activities as required
  • Conduct pre-trip inspections, FLHAs, and daily equipment checks
  • Ensure compliance with transportation permits, weight restrictions, and applicable regulations
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch, project personnel, customers, and supervisors
  • Complete electronic logs, permits, and transportation documentation accurately
  • Maintain company equipment in a clean, organized, and professional condition
  • Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and regulatory requirements
  • Promote a culture where safety is always the highest priority

Qualifications

  • Valid Class 1 Driver's License
  • Minimum 3 years of heavy haul and lowbed experience
  • Proven experience loading, transporting, and unloading heavy equipment
  • Experience operating multi-axle trailer combinations ranging from 6 to 19 axles
  • Strong knowledge of cargo securement standards and transportation regulations
  • Experience with winch tractor operations and oilfield equipment transportation
  • Experience with RGN, hydraulic platform, and Texas Bed configurations considered an asset
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in the field
  • Willingness to travel and work extended hours when required
  • Valid passport and ability to cross the Canada/U.S. border considered an asset
  • Experience operating in mountainous terrain considered an asset
  • Must successfully pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testing
