Overview
We are looking for a Dispatcher/Customer Service Representative (CSR) with expertise in Western Canada and Cross-Border freight operations to join our growing team. This role is crucial for ensuring seamless communication, efficient logistics management, and superior customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will be a highly organized, detail-oriented professional with a strong background in dispatching and customer service within the transportation industry.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and dispatch cross-border shipments, ensuring timely pickups and deliveries.
  • Utilize Transportation Management Systems (TMS) to monitor, track, and document shipments accurately.
  • Collaborate with 3PL providers, drivers, and internal operations teams to resolve delivery delays, route issues, and other logistical challenges.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries via phone and email.
  • Maintain and update shipment data, ensuring accuracy in all customer records and operational systems.
  • Analyze client needs and provide tailored solutions for freight logistics to improve overall service efficiency.
  • Manage cross-border documentation to ensure compliance with transportation regulations.
  • Resolve customer complaints or escalations effectively while maintaining a professional demeanor.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams to optimize routes, reduce costs, and improve delivery performance.

Experience

  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in Dispatching or Customer Service roles within the transportation and logistics industry.
  • Solid understanding of Western Canada and Cross-Border freight operations.
  • Proficiency in using Transportation Management Systems (TMS) to monitor and manage shipments.
  • Strong ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with strong phone and email etiquette.
  • High attention to detail and proficiency in data entry.
  • Experience with SyteLine software or similar systems is a strong asset.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience is required.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
