Overview
Savanna Dental in Calgary is hiring Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) with valid license to work in Alberta. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a vital role in assisting the dentist and ensuring the smooth operation of the dental clinic.

Duties

  • Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring the comfort and safety of patients.
  • Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and setting up necessary equipment.
  • Take dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed, adhering to safety protocols.
  • Maintain accurate patient records.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
  • Perform administrative duties, including scheduling appointments and handling patient inquiries.
  • Keep operatories, clean, organized and well stocked.
  • Stay updated on medical terminology and advancements in dental assisting techniques.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Dental Assistant with knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with Dentrix will be an asset.
  • A commitment to providing excellent patient care and maintaining a positive work environment.
  • Open to taking Saturday and Sunday shifts.
