Full job description

Starsky Fine Foods is seeking an experienced individual for Driver/Material Handler position. This is for an existing vacancy.

The position is responsible for organizing and moving merchandise to designated locations using a pallet jack or other manual material handling equipment.

The Delivery Driver/Material Handler will work with members of the Food Terminal, company’s Receivers, and other members to increase company profitability by delivering complete, accurate and on-time deliveries to the company’s locations. The Delivery Driver/Material Handler will represent the company in a highly professional, safe and cost-effective manner and will comply with all applicable traffic and safety legislation.

Job Requirements:

  • Valid DZ License and good driving record are required. Minimum 3 years experience.
  • Previous relevant driving experience in the Toronto, Mississauga and the GTA is highly preferred
  • Early mornings (Full Time)
  • Lifting up to 50 lbs
  • Able to read maps and accurately plan routes
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Professional demeanor
  • Able to handle difficult situations with diplomacy and tact
  • Capable of following written instructions and documented procedures
  • Effective listening, verbal and written communication skills
