Cross Country Canada Supplies & Rentals Inc. (CCCSR) is an industrial supply and rental company with locations in Alberta and British Columbia. We support pipeline, civil construction, industrial, oil & gas and mining projects by providing equipment rentals, industrial supplies, and customer-focused solutions across Western Canada. Our Grande Prairie branch serves the Peace Region with pipeline coating, oil and gas consumables, geosynthetic and blasting products, and a rental fleet built for pipeline construction.

We are currently seeking a motivated Outside Sales Representative to join our team at our Grande Prairie, Alberta branch. Candidates must be local to the Grande Prairie and surrounding area. This position reports to the Branch Manager.

The successful candidate will begin in the branch, learning our counter, yard, products and systems, before moving into the field with an assigned territory and account list. We welcome candidates with field experience in pipeline, civil construction or oil & gas who are ready to develop in sales, as well as experienced sales professionals ready to learn our product lines.

This role is well suited to a self-starter who communicates well, takes ownership of their work, supports the team, and represents both themselves and the company with integrity.

Duties and responsibilities

• Promote and rent/sell CCCSR products and services
• Develop and maintain strong customer relationships within assigned territories and markets
• Identify and pursue new business, including new and inactive accounts, to build a balanced account base while supporting existing customers
• Conduct sales calls, site visits, and customer meetings
• Manage customer opportunities from initial contact through quoting, closing, and ongoing support
• Ensure each customer contact results in a quote, an order, or a scheduled next step
• Follow up on all quotes through to a purchase order or a clear decision
• Ensure quotes, orders and rental contracts carry the correct salesperson code and customer PO number
• State freight terms on every quote and use dated price holds
• Confirm account status and account ownership with the branch before pursuing a customer
• Provide regular written reporting on customer activity, opportunities, quote values and next steps
• Participate in person in branch sales and pipeline meetings, and share market and customer intelligence with the team
• Coordinate with internal departments to ensure efficient execution and customer satisfaction
• Maintain awareness of market conditions, industry trends, and competitive activity
• Attend trade shows, customer events, and industry networking opportunities
• Provide product and service demonstrations when required
• Resolve customer concerns in a timely and professional manner
• Support branch operations, including counter, yard and delivery, as required
• Maintain a high level of professionalism while representing CCCSR in the field

Skills/Abilities

Qualifications:

• Experience in pipeline, civil construction, industrial construction, oil & gas or related sectors, in the field, supply or sales
• Outside sales experience with a proven record of success considered an asset
• Knowledge of pipeline coating, geosynthetics, abrasive blasting, welding consumables or equipment rental considered an asset
• Established working relationships with contractors and operators in the Peace Region considered an asset
• Experience with inventory, rental or ERP systems considered an asset
• Related education, training, or certifications in sales, business, or operations considered an asset but not required
• H2S Alive and Standard First Aid, or willingness to obtain
• Valid driver's license and clean driver's abstract required

Working conditions

• Travel within the Peace Region of Alberta and northeast British Columbia will be required
• Work is split between the branch and customer job sites
• Extended hours and occasional weekend work may be necessary, particularly during the winter peak season
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs when required
