Full job description

Experienced Technician Wanted

We’re a locally owned in-ground swimming pool business, built on quality work and strong customer relationships. You’ll be joining a small, tight-knit team where everyone takes pride in their work.

We’re looking for an experienced pool technician who is confident working with equipment, water chemistry, and system troubleshooting.

This is not an entry-level role. You’ll be responsible for managing service work, diagnosing issues, and completing repairs and installations to a high standard—without constant supervision.

---

Key Responsibilities:

Pool Service & Maintenance

- Perform routine service on in-ground pools (skimming, vacuuming, brushing, debris removal)

- Test, balance, and adjust water chemistry (chlorine, pH, alkalinity, stabilizer)

- Identify and correct water quality and circulation issues

Equipment Diagnostics & Repair

- Diagnose and repair pool equipment (pumps, filters, heaters, chlorination systems)

- Replace or repair components (motors, seals, valves, unions, fittings)

- Perform preventative maintenance to reduce equipment failures

Automatic Cover Systems

- Install, align, and service automatic pool covers (tracks, motors, drive systems, controls)

- Diagnose and repair mechanical and basic electrical issues

- Perform adjustments and maintenance to ensure safe, reliable operation

Plumbing & Install Work

- Complete inground plumbing installations and repairs (PVC lines, valves, manifolds, equipment hookups)

- Assist with equipment pad builds, system upgrades, and retrofits

- Support new pool installations and system setups

Automation & Controls

- Install and program timers, controllers, and automation systems

- Troubleshoot basic electrical/control issues

- Ensure systems are configured and operating efficiently

Seasonal & Field Work

- Perform pool openings, closings, and winterization

- Respond to service calls and troubleshoot issues on-site

- Communicate clearly with customers and provide recommendations

General Responsibilities

- Maintain accurate service records

- Work independently while maintaining high workmanship standards

- Follow safety procedures and keep work areas clean and organized

---

Qualifications:

- 2+ years hands-on experience (pool service or similar mechanical field)

- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability

- Solid understanding of pool systems and water chemistry

- Experience with plumbing, equipment installation, or construction is an asset

- Reliable, self-directed, and professional

- Valid driver’s license and clean record

---

What You Get:

- Full-time, consistent hours

- Independent work environment (no micromanaging)

- Variety of work (service, repair, and installation—not just cleaning)

- Opportunity for long-term or returning seasonal work

- Potential for medical benefits

- Work with a small, experienced team that values quality

Pay: $20.00-$30.00 per hour
