Overview
Reporting to the Comptroller, this position requires a detail orientated individual who will be responsible for the support and execution of administrative and financial tasks of Flexible Solutions International Inc. and it's subsidiaries. Fantastic opportunity for an individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to contribute to a variety of accounting tasks. The employer is growing rapidly and the successful applicant will have the opportunity to increase responsibility and compensation substantially over the next several years.

Responsibilities

  • Reviewing and overseeing customer balances
  • Reviewing vendor bills to be paid, ensuring correct documentation is attached and processing for ACH or cheque payment
  • Processing of payroll with support from HR
  • Preparing schedules for public reporting requirements
  • Quarterly close out of multiple companies once company structure is understood
  • Assisting with SEC reporting as experience is gained
  • Maintain strong relationships with all members of the accounting team and management
  • Suggest improvements to processes or organization within the accounting department

Skills and Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience in general industry
  • Keen attention to detail
  • QuickBooks Online and Desktop experience is an asset
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • General computer skills with good knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion

Education

  • Grade 12 graduate at minimum
  • Some accounting schooling preferred but good experience can override credentials

This is a full time, permanent position that works primarily in the office Monday to Friday but remote working once or twice a week is an option once fully trained.

Starting wage $70,000-85,000/year
