Afternoon Shift Machinist – CNC Programmer/Setup

Monday to Thursday

Location: Edmonton

A high-precision CNC manufacturing facility is seeking a skilled Machinist for our afternoon/night shift. This role requires someone who can program, set up, and operate CNC machines independently while producing quality parts to tight tolerances.

Key Responsibilities

  • Program and set up CNC lathes and mills (Mazak, Doosan, Siemens, and/or Fanuc controls).
  • Work from blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD models to produce precision components.
  • Select tooling, set offsets, and optimize machining processes.
  • Perform quality checks using precision measuring instruments.
  • Troubleshoot machining issues and maintain production efficiency.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision to meet deadlines.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong CNC programming and setup experience (both lathe and mill preferred).
  • Proficiency with Mazak (Mazatrol), Siemens, or Fanuc controls.
  • Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and GD&T.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Able to work independently and manage multiple tasks during a shift.
