The Opportunity

As a Operations Planning Analyst, your primary function is to coordinate for the Legal Operations Division operational planning and analysis, including strategic risk management, project coordination, reporting, change management and performance measurement. This position gathers data and conducts analysis, performs research, and gives recommendations to internal and external stakeholders. This includes the facilitation of workshops, creative problem solving and project work.

Key accountabilities include, but aren't limited to:

• Review and recommend the development and maintenance of common operational definitions, key performance indicators, data dictionaries, reporting inventories, and documentation that improve consistency and confidence in Legal Operations reporting.
• Analyze service volumes, workflow trends, resource utilization, demand patterns, turnaround times, productivity indicators, and other operational measures to identify risks, opportunities, and practical improvement options for management consideration.
• Assist in the development and improvement of information, data collection, reporting, and research processes.
• Identify issues and support in maintaining systems.
• Review and make recommendations for the successful execution and delivery of projects by preparing project requests, obtaining approvals, monitoring progress and coordinating divisional activities.
• Review and develop processes and tools to assess resource requirements, and monitor and forecast resource utilization, in alignment with society’s strategic and operational planning, project management, and decision-making processes for Legal Operations;
• Support managers and staff in the development, implementation and use of performance measures, including key indicators;
• Track, monitor and facilitate the reporting of performance measures;
• Support the Manager to incorporate risk analysis into strategic and operational planning;
• Assist the Manager in supporting effective organizational governance for the Legal Operations division;
• Research, learn, and implement new opportunities that leverage technology to maximize productivity;
• Perform other duties as required.

The Ideal Candidate

You have:

• Degree/diploma in business and/or project management from an accredited university or technical school
• Knowledge of strategic planning, project management, and change management theory
• Minimum 3 years experience with data visualization tools and producing and utilizing data visualizations and analysis
• Minimum 3 years relevant experience as outlined in rated requirements
• Advanced Level - Word, Excel, Power BI and PowerPoint
• OR an equivalent combination of education/experience
