About The We Store

The We Store is an expanding cannabis retailer dedicated to providing superior product knowledge, exceptional value, and an unbeatable customer experience. We are seeking a passionate, goal-driven, and highly organized Store Manager to lead our team at our Exmouth location in Sarnia.

Job Overview

As the Store Manager, you will oversee day-to-day retail operations, drive sales performance, ensure strict compliance with AGCO standards, and build a high-performing team. Your primary focus will be delivering an exceptional customer service experience that keeps guests returning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Experience: Drive a customer-first retail culture, ensuring every customer receives knowledgeable, friendly, and efficient service.
  • Staff Management & Development: Lead, coach, schedule, and mentor store associates. Foster an engaging, positive team environment.
  • Compliance & Regulatory Standards: Ensure 100% adherence to Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) regulations and Ontario Cannabis Store (OCS) operational guidelines.
  • Inventory & Stock Management: Oversee receiving, auditing, stock reconciliation, and inventory tracking to minimize shrinkage and ensure optimal product availability.
  • Financial & Budgetary Control: Manage daily store operational budgets, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and optimize store sales and profitability.
  • Communication: Facilitate clear, active communication between store staff, management, and Corporate/inter-company teams.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years in retail management; proven track record in sales and staff leadership.
  • Cannabis Knowledge: Strong familiarity with OCS product lines, cannabis strains, formats, and current industry trends.
  • Technical Skills: Tech-savvy with proficiency in both Apple and Microsoft operating systems, including Microsoft Excel and modern POS platforms.
  • Certifications: Valid AGCO CannaSell Certification and clean Police Vulnerable Sector Check (must be completed prior to start date; not required to apply).
  • Licensing: Valid Ontario Class G Driver’s License with a clean driving abstract.
  • Skills: Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, excellent verbal and written communication, and strong problem-solving abilities.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Performance Bonuses: Opportunity to earn a monthly performance-based bonus following 6–12 months of successful, continuous employment.

Pay: $50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
