Join Our Team!
We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Part-Time Bookkeeper to join our growing team. This position is ideal for an experienced accounting professional looking for flexible part-time hours while playing an important role in our organization's financial operations. Will train to a certain degree, but must understand the basics of accounting, the successful candidate will be working under an experienced bookkeeper.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily bookkeeping and accounting functions
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Reconcile bank and credit card statements
- Prepare and process payroll
- Maintain accurate financial records and general ledger entries
- Prepare monthly financial reports and assist with year-end procedures
- Process government remittances (GST/PST, payroll deductions, etc.)
- Support management with budgeting and financial reporting
- Maintain confidentiality of all financial information
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience (required)
- Post-secondary education in Accounting, Bookkeeping, or a related field is considered an asset
- Proficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or similar)
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
