About Swoop

We are a global community of over 100 adventure travel enthusiasts - ex-guides, avid travellers, and those with an adventurous spirit - spanning five continents. Since 2010, we’ve helped more than 15,000 people experience the trip of a lifetime in Antarctica, Patagonia and the Arctic. Our success is rooted in our intimate knowledge of these incredible regions, our deep care for their preservation, our commitment, as a B Corp, to doing what’s right for people and the planet and, above all, our connectedness as a global team.

About the role

We’re looking for someone who has done this role before — a proven high-performer in tailor-made adventure travel sales, who knows what it takes to guide high-intent travellers through complex decision-making and close high-value bookings.

We’re expanding our global sales team and are particularly excited to connect with candidates based in Canada, where a strong culture of adventure travel and outbound exploration makes this a key market for Swoop.

Ideally, you’ve sold Patagonia trips before with knowledge of one or more of the following regions - Aysen, Los Glaciares, Chilean Lakes, Tierra del Fuego or Torres del Paine. We’ll also consider candidates with a strong track record selling similar remote, multi-stop adventure destinations (e.g., Andes, Himalayas, Alaska), who can demonstrate the ability to quickly become a Patagonia Specialist.

This is a fast-paced, target-driven role requiring resilience, adaptability, and a proactive approach to business development. Alongside handling inbound enquiries, you’ll identify and nurture opportunities, reinforce sales through compelling written communication, and remain calm and focused under pressure.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage the full sales cycle for tailor-made Patagonia expeditions — from initial enquiry through discovery, proposal, follow-up, and conversion
  • Consistently exceed individual sales targets by closing complex, high-value bookings with confidence and precision, with the opportunity to significantly increase earnings through performance
  • Design bespoke itineraries tailored to customer needs, drawing on deep destination knowledge and a consultative sales approach
  • Proactively generate new business, identifying and pursuing sales opportunities beyond inbound enquiries
  • Build strong customer relationships, creating trust through active listening, empathy, and expert guidance throughout the booking journey
  • Craft compelling written proposals and follow-ups that reinforce value and drive conversion
  • Maintain accurate sales records and manage pipelines using CRM tools and booking platforms
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Customer Experience, Product, and Marketing teams to deliver outstanding pre- and post-sale service
  • Stay up to date on Pagaonia products and experiences, including itineraries, operators, and seasonal trends
  • Understand and embody Swoop’s four sustainability priorities and embed in your day-to-day responsibilities, decision making, and collaboration

About you

Core experience & skills:

  • You’re a proven high-performer in luxury or tailor-made travel sales, with a strong track record of exceeding ambitious targets.
  • You have direct experience selling Patagonia trips with knowledge of regions such as Aysen, Los Glaciares, Chilean Lakes, Tierra del Fuego or Torres del Paine; alternatively, you have a strong track record selling similar remote, multi-stop adventure destinations (e.g., Andes, Himalayas, Alaska).
  • You have expertise in managing the full sales cycle, from discovery and bespoke itinerary design through to proposal, follow-up, and conversion.
  • You demonstrate a proactive approach to business development, actively identifying opportunities beyond inbound leads, and possess the resilience to perform under pressure.1
  • You are a clear and persuasive communicator, able to reinforce sales through compelling written communication.

What will help you thrive:

  • You thrive in a fast-paced, target-driven environment and are motivated by both individual success and team impact
  • You’re resilient and self-motivated, bouncing back from setbacks and staying committed to delivering exceptional service
  • You’re commercially sharp and customer-first, always balancing conversion with long-term value and trust
  • You take a consultative, empathetic approach to selling, guiding customers through complex, high-value decisions
  • You’re confident designing and selling bespoke, multi-component itineraries to remote or experiential destinations.
  • You’re naturally proactive in business development, actively identifying and nurturing opportunities rather than waiting for inbound leads
  • You’re a clear and persuasive communicator, both on the phone and in written proposals or follow-ups
  • You’re organised, tech-savvy, and comfortable managing pipelines using CRM systems and booking platforms
  • You value collaboration and integrity, and align with Swoop’s values of sustainability, adventure, and exceptional service
  • You may have first-hand experience of Patagonia — or you’re ready to specialise in this extraordinary part of the world
