Full job description
The Manager-Operations is a key participant in assisting the CEO. Is involved in the overall management of branch operational procedures,
Supporting the CEO:
- Ensures compliance with all sound business practices, legislation, regulations, by-laws, and management of policies and procedures as per FSRA requirements.
- Makes recommendations to assist in the development of the Credit Union’s strategic objectives and goals.
- Ensures completion of assigned operational and tactical initiatives emerging from the Strategic Planning Process and Business plan.
- Develops and maintains overall marketing budget and strategy of the Credit Union.
Branch Operations:
- Possesses knowledge of residential mortgage and consumer loan underwriting.
- AML/FINTRAC compliance,
- Oversees branch growth and financial performance compared to budget and individual strategies.
- Development and monitoring, in conjunction with CEO, of staff growth targets.
- Provides guidance on administration and business development.
- Prepares Gap and Budget Comparison Reports for monthly board meetings.
- Prepares and conducts performance reviews on staff.
- Development and implementation of operational branch procedures for existing and any future branch locations.
- Oversees and coordinates the professional appearance of the credit union premises.
- Provides support and relief during vacations, recruitment process and as other vacancies occur.
Desired Skills and Experience:
Candidates must possess superior analytical and problem solving skills; developing recommendations to improve the business of the Credit Union. Collaboration with all employees and members is critical in this position. The capacity to develop and make presentations to the CEO and Board Committees is required.
Direct experience in the Credit Union System is preferred, and consideration will be given to other financial industry experience.
Other requirements are:
- Over 5 years of relevant experience in an increasing role of responsibility.
- Understanding of the cooperative system is preferred.
- Project Management.
- Understand economic and business market trends that affect the Credit Union.
- Ability to build consensus and successfully manage and resolve conflict.
- Work independently and under pressure so as to meet tight and often conflicting deadlines.
- Gather information from various sources to produce solid summaries that can be translated into concrete actions.
- Clearly articulate ideas and present these ideas to the CEO and Executive Board.
· Strong member service skills.
· Working knowledge of Office 365, Adobe, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
· Working knowledge of spoken Portuguese or Spanish required.
Pay: $75,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
