Join our team at United Ramp as a crew member at the Prince Rupert Airport as a Baggage Handler/Ramp Attendant.

In this position you will provide services which include marshalling aircraft, de-icing, loading and unloading luggage. Working in the airline industry means working flexible hours including days, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Job Description:

- Safely Marshall incoming and outgoing aircraft

- Operate all air side ground service equipment

- Unload/Load passenger luggage and cargo up to 70lbs (32kgs)

- Transfer luggage and cargo to appropriate aircraft or arrivals carousel

- Perform daily safety and equipment maintenance checks

- Data entry and reporting of irregular operations

- Charter operations

- Grooming Services

- Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

- Must be at least 18 years of age

- Be able to clearly and effectively speak, read and write in English

- Able to work under tight time constraints

- Demonstrate a safety mindset and a passion for providing outstanding customer service

Conditions of Employment:

- Candidate must obtain and pass a five-year criminal record check

- Must be eligible to work in Canada

- Must have a valid driver’s license (minimum class 7)

- Must be able to obtain an Airside Vehicle Operations Permit (AVOP) license

- Be able to work flexible shifts including mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, holidays and overtime when required

- Must be able to work outside in all types of weather conditions

- Able to adhere to company and airline safety policies while performing assigned duties

- Able to bend, kneel, crawl, stoop, and climb repetitively

- Able to work in confined spaces

- Basic computer skills required
