Full job description

We are a growing family owned and established concrete company seeking a CLASS 1 or 3 DRIVER / LABOURER. This role is on our concrete prep crew and includes installing weeping tile, spreading gravel, installing rebar, etc. This position includes both driving and physical labour requirements.

**40 percent of your daily work hours will be driving; 60 percent of your daily work hours will be physical labour**

Job Requirements:

  • Valid class 3 Driver’s License
  • Air brake certificate
  • Ability to operate MANUAL TRANSMISSION trucks
  • Relatively clean driver’s abstract
  • Ability to perform manual labour
  • Some truck & automotive repair knowledge

Duties:

  • Complete pre-trip inspections
  • Prepare truck for daily travel & positioning
  • Loading at various gravel pits and transferring gravel to job sites
  • Positioning and operating the gravel slinger
  • Raking and shoveling gravel
  • Using a wheelbarrow to move gravel

Compensation:

  • $28-$32 / hour depending on experience
  • Overtime (4-8 hours per week)
  • Vacation pay
  • Medical & dental benefits (after 90-days)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.00-$32.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30.0 – 50.0 per week
