Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Industrial/Automotive Painter to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for applying paint and coatings to various high tech and industrial components, ensuring high-quality finishes that meet safety and aesthetic standards. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where mechanical knowledge, attention to detail, and proficiency with various tools are essential for success.

Duties

  • Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and masking to ensure optimal paint adhesion
  • Mix paints, primers, and coatings according to specifications using basic math skills
  • Operate spray guns, brushes, rollers, and other hand tools to apply paint evenly on parts and assemblies
  • Use power tools as needed for surface preparation or repairs
  • Utilize forklifts for moving heavy components safely within the workspace
  • Follow lean manufacturing principles to optimize workflow and reduce waste
  • Conduct quality inspections to verify finish quality and adherence to specifications
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times

Qualifications

  • Mechanical knowledge with experience in manufacturing or automotive environments preferred
  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and forklifts (will train)
  • Basic math skills for mixing paints and measuring components accurately
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and assembly processes is a plus
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced setting
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on safety and quality standards
  • Prior experience painting required
