About Us

Mechlines Contractors Ltd. is a growing mechanical contractor specializing in commercial and institutional construction projects throughout the Greater Toronto Area.

We are looking for an experienced and dependable Sheet Metal Worker / HVAC Installer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing HVAC equipment and sheet-metal duct systems in accordance with mechanical drawings, specifications and applicable codes.

Responsibilities

  • Install sheet-metal ductwork, fittings, dampers, louvers, grilles and related HVAC components
  • Install rooftop units, air-handling equipment, exhaust fans and other HVAC equipment
  • Measure, lay out, modify and assemble ductwork and sheet-metal components
  • Read and interpret mechanical drawings, specifications and shop drawings
  • Coordinate installations with other trades and site supervision
  • Identify installation conflicts and report them to the project supervisor
  • Safely operate hand tools, power tools, lifts and other construction equipment
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area
  • Complete work efficiently while maintaining a high standard of workmanship

Qualifications

· Minimum 2 years of commercial or institutional sheet-metal experience work experience is required

  • Valid driver’s licence is required
  • 308A Sheet Metal Worker licence is preferred
  • G1 Gas Technician licence is preferred
  • Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC ductwork installation methods
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Dependable, punctual and able to communicate effectively
  • Must follow company and site health-and-safety requirements
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada

Registered 308A apprentices with strong commercial installation experience are encouraged to apply.
