Position: General Labourer (Yard)

About Arnason Industries Ltd.

Arnason Industries Ltd. is one of the leading general contractors in Manitoba servicing heavy construction from small to large projects. Our organization has a strong reputation for successfully installing water and sewer infrastructure including construction of water and sewage treatment facilities, crushing and road construction in large portion of Northern Manitoba and Northwestern Ontario.

Position Summary:

Reporting to the Assets, Logistics, & Procurement Manager, the General Labourer (Yard) is responsible for supporting daily yard operations and maintaining company facilities, equipment and grounds at the Rosser (Winnipeg) yard. The position plays a key role in ensuring the yard remains organized, safe, and operational.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the yard, shop, and storage areas
  • Operate skid steers, forklifts, and other yard equipment
  • Assist with snow removal and seasonal yard maintenance
  • Assist with receiving and verifying deliveries
  • Assist with inventory organization and material storage
  • Wash, clean, and prepare construction equipment and vehicles
  • Assist mechanics, welders, and other yard personnel as required
  • Follow all company policies, procedures, and provincial safety regulations
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support yard and operational requirements

Qualifications, Experience and Skills:

  • Previous experience in construction, equipment yards, warehousing
  • Experience operating skid steers, telehandlers, loaders, or other heavy equipment
  • Valid Manitoba Class 5 Driver’s License
  • Experience using power tools and basic carpentry skills is considered an asset
  • Physically capable of performing moderate to heavy lifting and manual labour
  • Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Willingness to work occasional overtime, evenings, weekends, and statutory holidays
  • Strong commitment to safe work practices and procedures
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Type: Full Time

Compensation: $20 to $26 per hour depending on qualifications and experience

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 am to 5:30 pm with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
